Lola Amanda Tapp

She married her husband, J.B Tapp on January 4, 1945. They were married for 57 beautiful years until his passing in 2002. In her life, Lola lived many places including Alaska, Arkansas, and Texas. With that, she also had several jobs including working for Naval Intelligence in Kodiak, Alaska and the Upshur County District Attorney's Office in Gilmer, Texas.

Lola loved camping and being outdoors, so much so that she did yard work until she was in her 90's.

Lola is preceded by her parents, Thomas and Neoma Sharpe, husband, J.B. Tapp; and her siblings, Frank Sharpe, Maxine Vines, Reda Elizabeth Sharpe, and Tommy Sharpe.

She is survived by her siblings, Opal Roe (Ernest Roe), Martha Smith, Ray Sharpe, and Dorris Hathaway and many other friends and family.

A visitation for Lola will be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A burial will occur Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
