Born on May 25, 1940 in Killeen, Texas, Linda spent her entire life surrounded by family and friends. She was a woman of many talents, known for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those she held dear.
Linda was a devout believer in the Lord, and her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She lived with grace, kindness, and compassion, always seeking to reflect God’s love in everything she did. Her belief was a source of strength and comfort to her and those around her.
Linda was a gifted cosmetologist, seamstress, knitter and cook. Her creativity and skill brought beauty into the lives of many.
She is preceded in death by her parents Morris and Velma Mills and her former husband and the father of her children Sam Hosea. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Lisa Griffin, and husband Kevin; Candace Owens, and husband Blaine; Misty Wheeler, and husband Clark; and her dear sister, Judy Pierce as well as 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Linda (Nana) was a devoted mother, Nana, sister, and friend who made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in the love and joy they shared.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Linda’s caregivers for their kindness, compassion, and dedication in her final years. Their support and care brought great comfort to Linda and her loved ones.
A memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on October 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together, share memories, and honor her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Faith Presbyterian Hospice & T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Center.
Linda’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
