Mr. Lester Ward

Lester L. Ward was born on February 5, 1934 in Moulten, Texas to Olender and Emma Ward. He attended school n Alvarado, Texas. After high school he joined the United States Air Force for 4 years. After the military he made Dallas, Texas his home.

On October 8, 1983 he married Dorothy. They studied the bible together. Both were baptized together on January 5, 1985 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Lester believed all parts of Jehovah's service is a blessing and privilege. He was most fond of the door to door ministry. He had bible students that he had the privilege of aiding to baptism.

He was always willing to help anyone who needed his assistance, whether it was a ride to the meetings or field service, be it financial, or just a listening ear.

Lester fell asleep in death on February 3, 2021 in the hospital at the age of 86.

Family members that preceded him in death are his father; Olender Ward Sr., mother; Emma Ward, 2 brothers; Forrest and MJ; and one grandson.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Dorothy of 37 years; brothers; Edward Ward (Irma) Desoto, TX, Olender Ward Jr. (Alene) Dallas, TX, Ernest Ward (Julia) Houston, TX, Uncle; Robert Pettit (Gloria) Lancaster, TX, cousin; Gertrude Patton, Austin, TX. Daughters; Sharon Colston (Charlie) Dallas, TX, Sheila La Borde, Dallas, TX, LaWanda Harris, San Antonio, TX, step daughter; Sharlet Frederick (Nathan) Dallas, TX, step son; Anthony Bailey (Tawyna) Ardmore, OK, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
