I was very sad to hear the news of Larry's passing.  I worked with him at UPS.  He always had a funny story to tell you of his experiences.  I know he really loved his family.

Nancy and family, Just discovered this sad news. Larry was a mentor and friend to literally thousands of people at UPS and left an unforgettable legacy. His humor and "stories" are still fondly recalled and are still used in situations today. I'm sorry for your loss and hope that time will bring you comfort in your grief and leave only the fondest of memories.

Hunter Family, I was a UPS Colleage of Larry's in Dallas, Tx.  I have fond memories of Larry, he had such a great spirit and always kept me laughing.  I am so sorry for your loss.  He was a great gentleman.

Nancy, Kim and I are so sorry to hear about Larry.  He was always such a fun guy to work with and never said he was too tired to exercise or that it was too hot to walk.  He was a brave fighter and we are blessed to have worked with him.  Your family is in our prayers.

I have known Larry all my life, but it was only after the passing of my parents that I got to know him especially well. Both Larry and Nancy had a close relationship with my mom and dad, and with their passing I was Larry's primary link to his memories of my parents. He, in turn, became a link to my memories of mom and dad and their glory days in Lubbock in the 1960s. As such, we became quite close over the last four years.

Larry was the classic "salt of the earth" kind of man. His intelligence, work ethic and character led to tremendous career success, but he always took an interest in other people. He was a decent and caring man, and a member of a great American generation whose ranks are dwindling. I miss him badly, just as I miss the America he loved so much, but which has largely vanished with him.

Condolences to the Hunter family.  I was saddened to hear of Larry's passing; we were colleagues at UPS, and he certainly helped my transition from San Francisco to Houston go a lot smoother.  A consummate professional.

Larry was a true gentleman when we were growing up in Lubbock and when we reconnected in our later years. I will always remember his smile and laughter.

So sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I worked with him at UPS for many years and I always had the highest regard for him. He was always a gentleman, a man of integrity, and a pleasure to work with. God be with and bless his family and friends

Our prayers and thoughts go out to Nancy and  family in this loss of this  great man.  Going to high school in Lubbock and then to Texas Tech with Larry, I learned to  appreciate what a wonderful person he was.  Not only was he extremely talented, but a man of sincerity who genuinely cared for others.  He was always  kind, considerate,  and patient in dealing with others.  Larry was definitely a great friend to numerous people.  He made a difference in the lives of many and  made lasting contributions to others. I'm so sorry for Larry's death.  We went to high school and college together and he was a great guy. We visited at the Monterey reunion last year.

Larry Hunter was as fine a man as I've ever met, and I was honored to get to know him. Larry exemplified the lyrics of The Matador Song: "Strive For Honor, Evermore;" and in fact, his shining light brought honor to Texas Tech. Nancy, my heart is heavy for you but I'm smiling with memories of Larry. May God bless us all.

My earliest memory was seeing my cousin Larry for the very first time when we were toddlers only one month apart in age. He immediately made me laugh as he has continued to do throughout our lives. I'll miss my wonderful, funny cousin. Love to all you Hunters, Angela.

I didn't know Larry personally, but I know family members and have never heard of anything but Larry's enthusiasm for life and his great love for his family.  I know he was a very special person, and I'm so glad God had Larry touch so many lives.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who I know will miss him so very much. Larry was an amazing guy! Never forget the summer he helped me with the kids house. The stories he told and just him bring there with me. Will miss him everyday. Always in my heart.
