Katie Annette Flowers

"Hard working hands are now at rest." Katie Annette Flowers, age 63, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on August 2, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Hughey and Margaret Collins. Annette was raised in Mesquite, Texas and graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1977 and went on to get her nursing degree from El Centro College. She was a registered nurse who enjoyed taking great care of mothers and babies for more than 40 years. Annette was a strong, independent woman who raised her four children completely on her own.

In her spare time Annette enjoyed taking her grandbabies on adventures, watching them play sports, watching Fox 4 news and hosting family events and holidays. Annette could be found storm chasing, listening to country and classic rock music, lounging on Florida beaches and dancing with her girls. Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong, nurturing and giving person.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents, Hughey and Margaret Collins and grandbabies, Morgan and Hunter. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Treyci and husband, Ryan, Ralph, Sarah and Kelly; four grandchildren, Riley, Maci, Bailey and Penelope; brother, Melvin Prince and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family.

Annette was greatly loved and respected by her healthcare community and patients.
