How funny was this sweet woman?  She never refused when I recruited her to help with the Seeds of Hope and Angel tree.  I have tons of pictures showing her working hard along side me. Even a few photos at her house and one of my favorite ones here when I finally convinced her to ride Chief.  Heaven has gained a very special angel.  Fly high, Kandi.

Kandi was my niece. When she was first born I loved her like my own.   As we both got older I moved away.  When I saw her in Texas a few years ago we went yard saling  together. I remember her as sweet and caring and fun.  She will always have a place in my heart. May you Rest In Peace ❤️

From band,  senior prom, friendship after school.
Was wonderful having her stand by her sisters side as her sister April became my bride and I was welcomed into the family.  Having her here to help welcome her niece into the world.

I am saddened by the loss of Kandi.  She was a good friend during middle and high school.  We shared a lot during band and between classes(locker neighbors).  She was always full of life and kindness, and she was quick to listen and be a friend.  Sending prayers for peace and strength for her family and friends.    

This was probably the last time I saw Kandi. We played in the rain and caught lightning bugs. A lot of laughter happened that night. Also remember the yearly trips to Michigan to visit all the family. The home videos we have from those times when we were all little are a treasure! Wish we could be there. Will be praying for peace and comfort for all of you.


I have known Kandi since I was 4 years old, forty three years. I’ve known her longer than my own little sister, she was like a sister to me though; we lived a small field away and I remember “helping” them bring in insulation to the house when they were building it and also helping with the circle flower bed in the driveway.  We would have races and jump over the soy beans to get back and forth between the houses,  our parents all went to school together just like we all did. We had a lot of good times in the Monte Carlo and playing pool and I could go on and on. She would literally give anyone the shirt off her back. I was so sad when she moved away but we didn’t let the distance get in between our friendship. When my dad passed unexpectedly last year, she was in the car on her way here to support us all. I can’t even say how much that meant not only to me but to my mom and my sisters. Never did I imagine I wouldn’t see her again.  I am thankful for all the memories I have and I take strength knowing I will see her again,  I’m sure she is up there with dad and they are watching over all of us. ❤️

Soooo many memories to share... so many that I will forever hold close.  Many of them involved violating some kind of rules whether it was sneaking out to meet the neighbors or racing Monte Carlos down the dirt roads (sorry mom) or sneaking people into the house and out the back door as mom and dad came home from a night out... they will forever be enshrined in my memory. Thank you to all who have shared theirs. 

I have been friends with Kandi for over 25 years .We met at IGA in Richmond and became friends quickly. I Iiked it when her and Dan would come to Richmond and we got to visit sometimes  it was a quick visit.We would always catch up on memories. 😪❤

I was neighbors with the Eisenhardts for a long time. My sisters and I spent hours upon hours hanging out  with Kandi, April and Chris. So much so we left a trail in the field between our houses. 😊 I remember Kandi had this red car and we could hear it coming a mile down the road. We would say Kandi’s on Big Hand we can hear the car. ☺️ She was very sweet and cared for me like we we were family.   She’ll never know how much it meant for her to drive to Michigan for my Dad’s funeral last year.♥️ May you be at peace Kandi Apple Red

I grew up living next door to Kandi. Being a couple years younger I always wanted to hang out with her and my sister, Nat. She always  welcomed me to her room with open arms. Last year when we lost our father unexpectedly she drove from Texas  to Michigan to be there for us. She never knew how much that meant to me and my sisters. I was married on her birthday back in 2011 and again she showed me so much love that day. She made me cry several  times that day by her kind words and her love she showed me. I am going to miss her smile, hugs and warm heart. I hope she is looking down on us with my dad and keeping us safe. Until we meet again Kandi Apple. Couldn’t ask for a kinder individual to be a friend to. Kandi was a fun, loving, and the funniest woman to hang out with. She always had a story to tell and when she did, you would have the biggest belly laugh. May you rest at eternal peace Kandi and look over your family to guide them through the difficult times for days to come.
