Judy Elaine Allison

Judy was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1946 to Joseph and Eloise Zibert. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1964, she and her first husband, Jim Osterquist, had two children, David and Melissa. In 1980 she went to work for Hormel Foods in Des Moines.

1986 brought her marriage to the love of her life, James S. Allison, Sr. In 1989 the two them embarked on a new adventure when they moved to Apple Valley, California. There, Judy worked for many years in medical billing. She and James had many great friends and enjoyed traveling to visit family or just to see the country (especially wine country).

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eloise Zibert; her sister, Joanne Zibert; and her stepson, James S. Allison, Jr. Judy is survived by her brother, Donald Zibert (Dianna Rankin) of Des Moines; her husband, James S. Allison, Sr.; her son, David (Roberta) Osterquist of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her daughter, Melissa (James) White of Little Elm, Texas; her stepdaughters, Stefanie (Eric) Wilderdyke of Adel and Emily (Matt) Jackson of Monument, Colorado; and eight grandchildren.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Visiting Nurses Association of Texas for their support and kindness. Without Lindsey, Karen, Michelle, and Elizabeth we truly don’t know what we would have done. You are most appreciated.

A memorial service will be held on April 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home located at 3211 Hubbell Ave in Des Moines, Iowa.
