Juanita Partida Contreras, 95, of Dallas, TX passed away on October 25, 2015. Juanita was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and devout Catholic. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was the middle child of three siblings; she was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on August 4, 1920 to Jose and Fabiana Partida. She attended schools in Louisiana where she grew up. The family traveled throughout Texas where she met her future husband, Louis Contreras. They married June 20, 1942. They moved to Dallas, TX around the mid 1950’s where they settled down and raised four children Juanita, Rita, Sandino and Thomas. The family joined Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in 1956, where Juanita remained a devoted parishioner for the past 50 plus years. She was a devoted daughter to her parents, a devoted wife, mother and homemaker all while holding a full time job at Susan Crane Decorations for over 20 years. Juanita retired and continued to enjoy life, alongside her husband and devoted son Tommy. She loved being a grandmother to all her grandkids; Michael, Christopher and Lisa Martinez, Jennifer Contreras, Gabrielle and Ellizette Parra. She adored her great grandchildren Zachary, Jacob, Skyler, Sophia and Erick. She is survived by her four children, spouses, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren: Juanita, Lisa and Paul Martinez of Irving, Michael, Laura, Zachary and Jacob Martinez of Wylie, TX., Christopher, Pat, Sophia and Erick Martinez of McKinney, TX., Rita, Fidel and Ellie Parra of Duncanville, TX., Sandino, Anna, Jennifer Contreras, Bentley Fitch and Skyler Sacks of Frisco, TX. and her son Norman Thomas Contreras of Dallas plus many nieces and nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Fabiana, brothers Ralph and Modesto, beloved granddaughter Gabrielle and her devoted husband Louis Contreras.
