Juan Magana

He Married Elida in 1952 and the couple had five children. He was a construction worker driving Deer Machinery at Dean Construction Company, where he worked for more than fifty years.

In his spare time, Juan loved being with family and friends. He was always happy working in his yard. He especially enjoyed, planting tomatoes, chile peppers, pecan trees, and pear trees. He appreciated dancing with his wife, Elida G. Magana along with seeing the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He was always a happy Dad.

His family and friends will always remember him as a nice friend to many along with being the best Dad we could have been blessed to have. He always had a huge smile and say hi to family and friends. We love you Dad, your daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brothers and friends.

He is preceded in death by: His Father, Benito Magana; Mother, Josefa Jurado De Magana; Brothers, Marcelino Magana, Benito Magana and his Wife, Elida G. Magana; Sons, Johnny Magana and David Magana.

Survived by: Four Daughters Elida M. Gonzalez, Frances M. Ramirez, Maria Magana and Terri Contreras. Four Surviving Sisters and Two Surviving Brothers. Five Grand-Daughters, One Grand-Son, Two Great Great Grand-Daughters and One Great Great Grand-Son.

Pallbearers for Juan J. Magana: Stephen Martinez, Tio Julian Magana, Tio Evaristo Magana, Chuy Alvarez, Ben Magana and Terri Contreras.

A visitation for Juan will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A rosary will occur Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 2601 Singleton Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75212. An interment will occur Friday, September 2, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
