Jose Gomez Gonzales, age 72, passed away on April 8th, 2022 in Brownwood, Texas. He was born on January 30th, 1950 in La Blanco, Texas to Elias Gonzalez and Martina Gomez. Pepe (Jose) was raised in Reynosa, Mexico and attended Obrera School in Reynosa, Mexico until around 1968.
He married Irene Gonzales Gonzales in 1972 and the couple had one child. He was a delivery man and repair man for Curt Furniture in Dallas, Texas for 20 years and a building custodian for Holland public school for 6 years before retiring.
In his spare time, Jose enjoyed watching sports, especially soccer, and his Dallas Cowboys. He loved Tejano music and food!
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving grandfather and father. He always had a smile when he was surrounded by his great grand children!
He is receded in death by: mother and father, Martina and Elias; brother, Alfredo Gonzalez; sister, Angelita Gonzalez; grandson, David Castanon; niece, Rosalina Rodriguez; nephew, Pablo Lopez II; and ex-wife, Irene Gonzales.
Survived by: sister, Francisca (Panchi) Lopez and brother-in-law, Pablo Lopez; brother, Juan Gonzales and sister-in-law, Martha Gonzales; daughters, Susie Hickman and Sandra Gonzales; grandchildren, Fabian Gonzales, Darrell Bellamy Jr, and Irene Marie Gonzales Bellamy and numerous other grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and step sons, Raul Lopez and Mike Reyes.
