March 14, 1940 – July 21, 2017
The man. The visionary. The pioneer. John died on Friday, July 21, 2017, in Rome,
Italy, while on holiday with his partner of 35 years. He was doing what he loved
most, traveling and in his most favorite city in the world. He resided in Dallas, Texas,
and was also a licensed pharmacist since 1964.
John was born in Piqua, Ohio, on March 14, 1940, to Fred Aairon McKee and Anna
Rebecca Unger McKee. At a very young age he started working, stocking shelves at a
local pharmacy and went on to college at Ohio Northern University and obtained his
pharmacy license. He was the founding partner of RNA Holdings, LLC that dates
back to 1975. He also ventured in many other health care businesses and held
numerous patents. One of these operations eventually led to roll up of a company
called Omnicare.
Survivors include his partner and love of his life of 35 years, John Robert Clark, one
sister and one brother. His sister Ella Mae Copley and her late husband Robert C. Copley
(RC). Ella and RC have 3 children, Bob, Lori and Debbie, 7 grandchildren
and 3 great-grandchildren.
John's brother is Richard Arthur McKee and his wife is Linda Wong McKee. Rick and
Linda have 2 children, Shun and Whitney and 3 grandchildren. Rick and Linda live in
West Chester, Ohio.
Seven siblings predeceased him.
Services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy.,
Dallas, Texas, 75225, on August 6th from 2PM-4:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations
