John Joseph Harvey, known to friends and family as "Jack," “Dad” or “Grandpa," was born on March 20, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri. Jack passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine "Jerre" Harvey, as well as his parents, John F. Harvey and Josephine M. Harvey, and his only sibling, brother James D. Harvey. Jack's departure leaves behind a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jack's legacy lives on through his remaining family members. He is survived by daughter Mary Elizabeth "Lisa" Clapp and her husband, Sean Clapp, of Noblesville, Indiana, and son John Joseph Harvey, Jr., and his wife, Shelley Harvey, of Heath, Texas.
Jack's memory will forever be cherished by his grandchildren: John Robert Yarbrough, Ashley Zukowski (Max), Brooke Mulvihill (Brent), Tyler Matthews (Haley), Laura Sherburn (Cody), Benjamin Harvey, and Blake Harvey (Alex). His legacy extends further through his great-grandchildren: Kayleigh, Chloe, and Roman Sherburn; Margaux and Kellan Zukowski; Maddox and Campbell Mulvihill; Eli, Quenton, and Isaac Matthews; and Merit Harvey and niece, Susan Harvey Bainter (Tim).
In accordance with Jack's wishes, he will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, along with his beloved wife, Jerre, on October 7, 2023. It is a fitting tribute to their enduring love that Jack and Jerre will rest together for eternity.

Jack's memory will forever live in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a heritage of family and devotion that will be cherished and celebrated by those who loved him most.
This is not goodbye, as in God's timing we shall be joyfully reunited.
