John G Blaylock, Sr. known to many as Big John or Jerry, returned home to be with his Heavenly Father on March 7, 2018 at the age of 83. He served his country in the National Guard Reserve and retired from AT&T after more than 30 years. John loved to work with his hands and was highly skilled in mechanics, construction, welding, wood crafting, and electronics. His smile, laugh, courage, and love will be dearly missed by his family. John was preceded to Heaven by his parents, George and Ruby, a beautiful daughter Elaine, and two amazing grandkids John David and Sharon. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Patsy Jean Blaylock, his children Susan and Greg Callaway, Beverly Hall, Yvonne, John, and Joe Blaylock, Richard, Michael, Chris and Nikki Russell, 15 Grand Children, 11 Great Grand Children, and 5 Great-Great Grand Children.
