A kindhearted, generous and faithful friend, Johanna was an Ursuline Academy graduate and a “lifer”, having attended classes there since kindergarten. She proudly wore her blue-gold bows!
Johanna moved on to study at St. Edward’s University in Austin.
Johanna made lifelong friends who loved and cherished her and her kindness extended to her canine family, whom she treasured like they were her children.
Creative and talented, Johanna worked many years as a valued Associate at Cook Diamonds.
Johanna was most proud that she had perfected MaMa Lobello’s pasta sauce and would freeze gallons of it for the taking. Whether sitting on the patio at Rafa’s with her dogs or fine dining on white tablecloths, Johanna had a knack for making people happy and comfortable. You had to be careful what you wished for, as she would make it happen! She was the girl we all wanted to be - bright, beautiful and blessed.
The second of four children, Johanna was preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Francesca Mathews Collins. She is survived by her younger brothers, Joseph (Marianne) and Terry Mathews, two nieces and three nephews. Sadly, she leaves behind her chocolate lab, Ray.
