Funeral service, interment, and reception will be held Wednesday, January 8 at 10:00 am at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 7, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
Jeff was born on July 28, 1974 in Dallas, Tx. and was a lifelong resident. He married his wife Cristy on December 1, 2014 after a 5 year relationship. Jeff worked for Venture Mechanical for over 13 years. His children remember him as a kind hearted and playful father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. His family and friends remember him as a hard working, responsible man who would do anything for those he loved. He was known for his unique sense of humor and "early to bed, early to rise" philosophy of life.
Jeff was an accomplished handyman who enjoyed building and repairing small engines and electronics. He loved being outdoors. His favorite places were lakes and beaches, where he enjoyed boating and swimming. Jeff took his family on yearly vacations to Surfside Beach, Tx. and frequently visited city and amusement parks with his children.
Jeff is survived by his wife Verna Christine Jones Taylor of Dallas, Tx., daughter Abigail Grace Taylor, son Andrew James Taylor, and stepson Brandon Anthony Mefford, all of Dallas, Tx., mother, Martha Lucile McConnell Taylor of Dallas, Tx., brothers Michael Benjamin Taylor of Quinlan, Tx., David Brian Taylor Sr. and wife Teresa of The Colony, Tx., and Steven Scott Taylor of Lone Oak, Tx., Aunt Norma Jean Taylor Stobbe of Waco, Tx., Uncle Benjamin Eugene McConnell Sr. and wife Lou Ann of McKinney, Tx., niece Sophia Jessica Taylor of The Colony, Tx., nephew David Brian Taylor Jr. of The Colony, Tx., niece Amy Kathleen Rolla of Garland, Tx., and cousin Benjamin Eugene McConnell Jr. of McKinney, Tx. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Norris Taylor.
The family would like to thank Dr. Amy Cripps, Dr. John Mathews, and the staff at Medical City Dallas for their dedicated care to Jeff over the past 20 months.
