Jean entered the presence of the Lord on October 5th at the age of 89. She was born in Bocachita, OK to George N. Chesnut and Virginia L. Alford Chesnut. She was married 66 years to John M. McDaniel who entered the presence of the Lord in 2011. Jean is survived by daughters Janet K. McClelland and husband, Clive, and Joan E. McDaniel; grandchildren, John McClelland, Mary McClelland Thielen and husband, Peter, and A. Michelle McClelland; brothers, George G. Chesnut and wife, Beverly and Don E. Chesnut and wife Angie; and sister Mara Beth Kveton and husband, Pat. Jean was a graduate of Ball High School in Galveston, TX where she met her husband, John. She was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church and cherished their love and support for many years. Playing bridge with her friends brought her great joy especially in her later years. The family is grateful to the staff of Total Patient Care, Trinity Personal Care and the VNA for their loving care. A Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
