Jean was born, Bobbie Jean Moon, on September 10th, 1944 in LaGrange, GA to her father Robert Adair Moon, and mother, Thelma Moon (Collier). After spending her early years in LaGrange, Jean and her family left the Southern United States and went to the Midwest, specifically, Cleveland, OH, where Jean attended elementary school. After some time, the Moon family returned to the warmer climate in Lake Charles, LA where Jean graduated from Lake Charles High School and subsequently attended and graduated from McNeese University in Lake Charles.
Jean then relocated to Dallas, TX where she embarked upon a very successful 37-year career at the law offices of Frank L. Branson, a personal injury law firm. Initially she started as a part-time paralegal, and after several years of dedication and hard work, she was promoted to Administrator and then on to Executive Director, which she remained until her retirement in 2017.
As dedicated as she was to her career, she was even more dedicated and passionate about her personal life and spending time with family and friends. When time allowed, Jean always loved traveling, loved the ocean and beach, and going on a cruise. At home, she loved her own pool especially relaxing on the weekends as well as gardening, shopping and going out and eating her favorite foods. She had a broad appetite but especially loved Cajun or Creole-style cooking. She enjoyed music and dancing whether in a club or at home with her family and friends. Jean loved classic rock and was a big Rolling Stones fan as well as Lynard Skynyrd.
Jean loved rich colors whether in paintings or in her landscape. With her Georgia heritage, she was partial to peach as well as turquoise. She would always have peach hibiscus in her landscape.
In addition to her parents, Robert and Thelma, Jean was preceded in death by her son Ronald Wayne Ribbeck. She is survived by her son Dustin O’Neil Fisher, his wife Julie and their children, Ashton, Scarlett, Tristan and Everett and her soulmate, Mark Campbell.
