Jack P Harris,. 84, of Plano, passed away at 12:15 pm, December 22, 2010, surrounded by his family. He was born May 29, 1926, in Cooper, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Bonnie Harris, his brothers, Joe, Charles and Thomas and sister, Merle Nash. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Tommie, son, Jackie and wife, Diesta, daughter, Kim Dodson and husband, Jerry; three wonderful grandsons, Josh Dodson, Todd and Austin Harris; beloved brother, Billy and wife, Allyne, sister, Barbara Brown and husband, Alvin; sister-in-law, Liz Harris and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack served in World War II. He was a talented craftsman, an avid fisherman and a great friend and influence to everyone who knew him. Funeral services 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in the Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Monday, December 27, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice or Grandview Baptist Church, building fund.
