Harold A. Goodman

Harold A. Goodman, born May 31, 1918 in Dallas, Texas, to Archie and Sarah Goodman, passed away on April 11, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. An avid golfer, sports fan, and reader he was a Grocer in Dallas until his retirement. A life long member of Congregation Shearith Israel and also a very proud Shriner of 50+ years. He was blessed to have two wonderful wives. A true measure of Harold’s legacy is manifested in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Dora Einhorn Goodman, son, Kenneth Wayne Goodman and sister, Florence Ruth Smiley. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Goodman; daughter, Ann Rochelle Kahn and husband Dennis Rodgers, son, Michael B. Goodman and wife Karen, daughter-in-law Diane Goodman, daughters Marilyn Agoos (Stuart), Linda Brener (Billy), Joyce Goodowitz (Wayne), Janice Eisenberg, sister, Doris Katz, brother, David Goodman, sister-in-law, Miriam Einhorn; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family extends special thanks to the many doctors and home health aids for their kind and loving care. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Shearith Israel Cemetery on Dolphin Road, Rabbi Joe Menashe and Cantor Itzhak Zhrebker , officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dallas Hebrew Free Loan Association, Scottish Rite Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
