Evelyn Karin, 87, of San Antonio passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2013 at The Legacy at Preston Hollow in Dallas. She will always be remembered as a loving, mother, wife, and friend to all that knew and loved her.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 4, 1926 to Joe Charles and Rose Trodlier Charles. She devoted her life to her family and to the Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Antonio.
Survivors include her two sons, Dr. Daniel Karin and Marshall Karin of Dallas, her daughter Jody Karin of Dallas, her brothers Aaron Charles and Jack Charles, her sister Alda Epstein, four grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Karin.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Antonio (12500 NW Military Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78231) or to the SPCA of Dallas (2400 Lone Star Dr. Dallas, TX 75212).
