Evan David Strickland

Evan David Strickland, passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2023 at the age of 45. He was born July 1, 1977 in Houston, Texas. Evan was a graduate of the University of Texas and loved his Longhorns. Evan worked almost 20 years in the oil and gas industry.

Evan was happiest when surrounded with his family and friends and he enjoyed making others laugh. He was a dedicated man who took pride in being a father and provider to his wife and kids, whom he fiercely loved. Evan had incredible patience and he always made time to listen and be there for those that meant the most. Evan was creative, sensitive, he adored his family and friends, loved to cook, enjoyed listening to music, and never missed an opportunity to be on the golf course.

He is survived by his wife, Kristin and their two children, Camryn (5) and Austin (3), of Dallas. Sisters, Sarah Strickland and Rachel Strickland of Houston. Father and family, Seth Perlman, Jodi Perlman and their two sons Benjamin and Broderick Perlman, of New York. Aunt, Jane Kircher of New Mexico, Stephen G. Slade of Houston, and countless close friends.

Evan is preceded in death by his mother, Ann Robertshaw Strickland, and his maternal grandparents, John Charles and Lois Caroline Robertshaw.

Evan will be deeply missed by all, and we pray that his memories will bring peace and comfort to his wife, children, and all that loved him. His babies were his biggest treasures, and he would want them to be taken care of.

The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
