Many fond memories of you as a cadet at the GJCC Training Academy.  You will always have a special place in our hearts.  Rest in peace Estefania.

Hello my name is Essence Harris,
I remember Gonzalez from San Marcos back in 2019 when I was joining the correctional academy. I remember at the time at Texas Department of Criminal Justice that we would raise disruption all over the unit (J3). I remember our nickname was called double the trouble we would always do our job and make sure everything gets done by the time I relieved her or when she relieved me. I remember the times she told me not to give most especially if it’s something really small or big. I will always miss her from the bottom of my heart and the bottom of everyone who loves her dearly. She will be missed just gone to soon.

Aunque ya no te vean mis ojos, aunque ya no escuche tu voz, habita tu ternura en mi ser, tu recuerdo vive en mi corazón. Aunque no entienda la razón por la que te llevaron al cielo, aunque quisiera emprender contigo el vuelo, y juntas poder estar. Aunque las lágrimas me visiten a diario, y cuente cada día, aunque por ti cambiaría mi vida, y retroceder el tiempo quisiera, Sé que estás aquí… En el soplo del viento cuando me siento sola. o cuando de un árbol cae una hoja, cuando veo una flor hermosa, cuando una lágrima vuelve a brotar, Sé que estás aquí… Cuando siento la sensación de que alguien me cuida, cuando no puedo encontrar la salida, cuando necesito conversar, sé que estás aquí para poderme escuchar. me ha dolido mucho perderte, no sé como describirlo, no sé cómo decirlo, pero algo pasa dentro de mí, y es que siento que aún sigues aquí, y ya no tengo temor a la muerte, porque sé que esperándome estarás cuando al final de mis días un abrazo de nuevo te podré dar. TE AMARE POR SIEMPRE MI NIÑA ❤️

I will always admire the first time I met you you came in a week after me I was still new to the trade school and we both almost had a similar dream but due to our background status we couldn’t go far. You came in with strong character and very straightforward. You were one tough soul lol you already had the mind of a soldier. I told myself this girl here is going to be a leader for us and I will support her. You had a great vibe for everyone you were like a big sister making sure we had our head straight. You had your goals set and never gave up on them. I really wish you had more time to achieve more of your success you made it farther than anyone of us. We miss you so much you have a big family here you left a huge piece in every one of us. see you on the other side. Thank you for the best memories Estefania. Descansa en paz. 

I remember after I left the trade school started working with our first security job in downtown Dallas it was exciting for us to move up on our own starting fresh the best we could before you left to move up more for level 3/CO in job corps. You truly kept going with your goals. you are a huge influence for many people here I knew if you made it farther to your goals you would very known with the big legends loud and proud. Thank you captain for never giving up.

Estefania was a great amazing, kind, loving, funny , awesome person. Always a smile on her face. Never a dull moment with her. She will be missed dearly. 

Manny you were the best big sister since we were little and I still find it so hard to believe you’re really gone. You were always so protective of me, always showed me love, and always kept it real with me. You always had such a good heart, you always made sure everybody around you were okay even if you weren’t and you never asked for anything in return. I always admired your strength and perseverance to go after what you want. You inspired so many people to be better and do better including myself and I will forever be grateful for you. You achieved so much but yet had so much more to achieve, but just know we will always be proud of you. Thank you for everything Manny, you truly made a difference in a-lot of people’s lives, especially me and Genesis. I promise you we will do everything we can in this life to make you proud so one day when we meet again.. you will be happy and proud, a million thanks again for having us in your life. Rest in peace my Manny, I love you more than words can say..

Danyelle and I enjoyed living with her, having her around always made the space feel more full, our small apartment wasn’t much but we felt like family. She lit up every room she entered. She will  forever be missed. 

Gracias por enseñarme a amarme ami misma por creer en mi y motivarme para ser la mejor versión de mi. Siempre voy a estar orgullosa de ti por que a pesar que la vida no fue justa siempre sonreías y dabas para adelante, te quiero mucho y te extraño aún mas  pero ya te ganaste tu las así que vuela muy alto mi Ángel 💕 


I can remember you teaching my mijo what icecream late at night is . You was the first person he was okay to be around with after everything. I miss you so much .. Rest In Peace. A warrior ❤️👼 fly high kid I’ll see you soon
