Ernest Carl West

Ernest Carl West was born on August 27, 1971 in Dallas, Texas to Reggy Gene West and Natalie Ann Benson West. He graduated from John Tyler High School in 1989 and later in life earned an Associates degree - with Honors. While in college Ernie's favorite subject was creative writing; he wrote short stories and poems.

Ernie was known for his great smile and as a man with a big heart. He was strong, caring, and a fun loving person. He loved working out, playing horseshoes and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Ernie's greatest joy in life was his daughter Jessica Michelle West.

Ernie was preceded in death by his mother, Natalie Ann West and his niece, Christina Garcia. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Reggy G. and Mary C. West; daughter Jessica Michelle West; brother, Reggy West, Jr.; sister, Gena Truelson and husband Robert; nieces and nephews, Ryan Christopher Garcia, Natalie Ann West, Savannah Marie West and Lauren Ashley Campos; step-brother, Leonard Campos and wife Lorie; numerous other loving family and a host of friends.

Services: 2:00 p.m. Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 3920 Samuell Blvd. Dallas, TX 75228. Interment: Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, TX.
