Elaine Kruse Schneider

Elaine Kruse Schneider Born June 30, 1925 in Dayton, Ohio, died in peace with grace and dignity, on September 23, 2015 at the age of 90. She will always be remembered as a lovely lady, loving mother, and a dear grandmother and great grandmother.

Daughter of Gladys Gayle Stephenson Kruse and William Augustus Kruse, she grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was a 1947 graduate of Northwestern University where she was a member of the Upsilon Chapter, Tri Delta Sorority. She was active in the communities of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Omaha, Nebraska, and El Paso, Texas while raising her children. During 1985 until the time of her death she resided in Dallas where she was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Hanover Book Club and Dallas Country Club.

Preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and William Kruse and the father of her children, Fred Durant Schneider. She is survived by her loving family, son Fred Kruse Schneider and his wife, Brenda, daughter, Nancy Elaine Schneider Richardson, and her husband Clark; grandchildren, Fred Schneider, Karl Schneider and his wife Lindsey, Will Richardson, and his wife Caroline, Ryan Richardson, and his wife, Alisa, and Fallon Schneider; great grandchildren, Aiden and Asher Schneider of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Mary Kate Richardson of Dallas, and Nolan and Charlie Ann Richardson also of Dallas, and special friends and “kissing cousins” (as she called them).

A very special and heartfelt thanks to her “Angels on Earth” who had her in their loving care; Juana Ortiz, Feli Ruiz, Larry Miller, Dorothy Logan, Rosa Daniels, Stacy Jones, Lashon Avery and Gloria Bagsby, who allowed “Mimi” to live out her time on earth as she wished.

A private family inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum on a future date.
