She was born March 10, 1927, in Dallas, TX, a daughter of the late Eddie and Jewel Thomas.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Allan Posey, and her daughter, Alison Meyer.
Dorothy was a member of Casa View Christian Church, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading the Dallas Morning News, crossword puzzles, shopping, and a good cocktail. Dorothy retired from Intercontinental Manufacturing in Garland, TX after 20-years.
Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Rosette Posey of Midlothian, TX; two granddaughters and sons-in-law, Randy and Nikki Mounts of Washington DC and Jaren and Megan Cunningham of Frisco, TX; and two great grandchildren, Kate and Austin.
The funeral arrangements will be held graveside at 11:00am on December 23, 2019, at Grove Hill Cemetery.
