Donald Gene Pool

Don was born on April 16th, 1939, to Andrew Pool and Sybil Mobley Pool in Peerless, TX. Don graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas, TX, on a Friday night in the year 1957. He then began his over 40 year long career with Glitsch, Inc as an engineer the following Monday morning.

In 1958, Don married Wyanell Keen Pool. Don and Wyanell went on to have three children, Nelda Schmitter, Jerry Pool, and Joel Pool.

In 1997, Don retired and married Billie Clyde Hunt. They spent their retirement years in their homes in Midlothian and Van, TX. They enjoyed traveling and watching John Wayne movies with their dog, Max.

Don was embraced at Heaven’s gate by wife- Wyanell, parents- Andrew and Sybil, and siblings- Ronald and Brenda.

Don leaves behind nineteen great-grandchildren - Annabelle, Jackson, Isaac, Madilyn, Avery, Elyanna, Nevaeh, Nehemiah, Jeremiah, Alex, Nicholas, Austyn, Gage, Emery, Hensley, Whitten, Charlie, Cameron, and Melody.

Fourteen grandchildren- Justin, Travis, Kristin, Cheyanne, Alexandra, Andrew, Joshua, Kelsey, Garrick, RJ, Kayla, Parker, Sara, and Sadi.

Children- Nelda Schmitter, Jerry and Shonda Pool, Joel and Kathryn Pool, Drenda and Ronald Moor, Beth and Rickie Hunt, Lisa and Michael Smitherman, Glenn and Laura Hunt-, siblings- Sarah, Patsy, Fay, and Kay-, and countless friends.
