He was born in Lelia Lake, TX on July 18, 1937. Don graduated from Amarillo High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Abilene Christian College (now ACU).
He married Mona Finsterwald on April 6, 1963 in Briscoe, TX after a whirlwind courtship.
Don worked/had a career in construction and building materials for KS Reynolds & Co, Pleasant Valley Lumber, and on his own.
He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Amarillo for most of his life, and had a passion for raising cattle, hunting, his son’s sports, and Larry McMurtry books.
He was preceded in death by: his father K S Reynolds (“Bud”) and mother Mamie Brown Reynolds.
He was survived by his wife Mona, son Jeff (Laura) of Dallas, TX, grandchildren Jake and Kate, both of Denver, CO, brothers and sisters Carolyn Cawthron (Jim) of Lubbock, TX, Lynn Reynolds (Jeanne) of Plano, TX, David Reynolds (Karen) of North Richland Hills, TX, and Gail Powell (Ben) of Brentwood, TN.
Services will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home at 2pm on Saturday, September, 16th.
