Demetrius Latrice Lyles was born on the day of our Lord, December 06, 1965. He went to be with our Saviour and Lord on Friday, October 14, 2022, after a courageous battle with his illness.
He was the son of the late Thomas Lyles, Jr. and Clara Reese Lyles Mitchell. He entered this life at St.
Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana. He grew up in Sauk Village, IL. He attended middle school at Rickover Junior High School in Sauk Village. He graduated from Bloom Trail High School, Chicago Heights, IL. Demetrius was employed with the RHD Hospital System in Dallas, TX for 15 years and at Crescent Medical Center in Lancaster, TX prior to onset of his illness.
Demetrius has one daughter, Kayla Monique Lyles.
Demetrius loved fishing, baseball, football (Not including the Cowboys), and card games. He also enjoyed playing free online slot games.
Demetrius is survived by his daughter, Kayla Monique Lyles; mother, Clara Lee Mitchell; siblings, Richard (Barbara) Reese, Charles (Lydia) Jackson,Cassandra (Joseph) Lyles Leday Weber, Sharon Lyles, Diangelo Lyles, James (Nadia) Mitchell Junior, Tonja Mitchell Brodsky and Yolanda (Jeremy) Mitchell Taubenfeld. His adopted brothers and sister, James Mitchell Ill; Shirley Mitchell and Martez (Abrill Taylor) Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Demetrius is preceded in death by James O. Mitchell, Sr. and Adam Joseph Mitchell.
Demetrius will be etched in everyone hearts forever.
