Debra Joyce Sims

Debra Joyce Sims was a caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 25, 2023. Debra was born and raised in Dallas Cowboy Country. She graduated from David W Carter High School in 1976.

She loved to travel taking over 10-20 cruises all over the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, The Bahamas, Belize, Jamaica, Mexico as well as Alaska. Debra loved the Dallas Cowboys never missing a game and believing they would win Every Super Bowl, no matter the record although this was her self proclaimed prediction.

She enjoyed her career with over 25 years with the Texas Department of Human Services as well as an additional 20 years in the Security Industry. There is no doubt that Debra was the best dog/mom to Koby, Kamry and Kandy, sister in law, aunt, daughter and niece in Dallas “Oak Cliff” Texas.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents: Geneva Grisham and Billy Roy Sims, sister: Wanda Denise Sims-Littlejohn .

She leaves to cherish her precious her memories brothers: Kenneth Sims and Delwin Sims, nephews; Christopher and Chris Sims, nieces: Chanté (Aniyah Grant) Littlejohn and April Green, brother in-law: Paul Littlejohn, aunt: Wanda Meed and a host of relatives and friends.

Her love of family life, sassy attitude, and stubbornness will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
