She was born in Dallas, Texas to Charles and Joyce Baker on March 10, 1958. Cheryl attended Dallas Christian School which she loved very much and where she made lifelong friends that she was still close with all these years later. She was in the Acapella chorus, drama and pep clubs, went on ski trips, and she managed the girls basketball team. As an adult, Cheryl was a paralegal and real estate agent. She worked very hard and was always on the go she couldn’t stand sitting still. As a mother, Cheryl was always very encouraging and never let a setback feel like the end. Cheryl was protective, creative, spiritual, and so much fun to laugh with, she was just the best! Cheryl loved God, her parents, friends from school, leaving peanut butter and seed out for birds and squirrels on her porch. She absolutely loved and cherished her kids. She enjoyed collecting antiques and knick-knacks. She ADORED Elvis, so much that her and friends drove to Memphis and crawled over a wall to get to the public viewing of his funeral. Cheryl was a very cool lady who will be dearly missed by all.
Left to cherish her memory her children, Daughter, Maegan Joyce Martin of Dallas, Texas, son, Chayce Hugh Martin of Athens, Texas; as well as adorable and fluffy, eight year old cat Jambi
A memorial service for Cheryl will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
