Charlie A. Sims was born March 2, 1918 in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Sims and Mary (Peace) Sims; three sisters: Bertha, Ester and Earline. Charlie graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Prairie View College. He served in the Army and retired from the United States Postal Service after 37 years. He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife of 64 years, Christobel (Simpson); two daughters, Cynthia A. Sims and Carolyn A. Anderson; son-in-law Curtis A. Anderson; three grandsons, Charlie A. Sims II, Cserdis A. Anderson (Kelly), Ckurtis A. Anderson (Naomi); five great grandchildren: Ckeirah Alexis, Ckurtis Avery, Claire Autumn, Ckalynn Acshley and Cshelby Anne; and other beloved relatives and friends.Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
