Dr. Tandy and I served on the Board of Directors of the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce for several years. Charles was a special person and his character and integrity were at the highest level of honesty. Charles was  an outstanding councilman and represented his district with the most  concern and understanding to make the community a better place to live and work. I will certainly remember Charles for his easy going style and delightful personality. May he R I P!

Dr. Tandy made a difference in so many lives.  I know he will be remembered with fondness by his family, patients, and colleagues. We at UT Southwestern Medical Center are sharing in your sadness as we remember Dr. Tandy.  

We wish you and your family peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there are a trail of beautiful memories. We remember the laughter, friendship and knowledge he shared with us. He was delightful man I enjoyed working with for 37 yrs as well calling him a dear friend! His kindness, friendship  and  laughter will remain with me forever! Dr. Tandy was a trusted friend and mentor for me. I am so grateful for the 49 years I have known him. He trained me as a young nurse how to care for patients right out of surgery into the recovery room. He helped me through some really difficult times in my life. He invited all of our team members and families to the ranch. I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend church with him and beautiful Rowena. Ron and I will miss seeing him but so grateful he’s with our Lord. Rest in peace our beloved friend.

We knew Dr. Tandy as a board member of the Central American Mission, the organization with which we served in Guatemala. He was a good friend, someone who took a personal interest in us.  We are grateful for his life and his contribution to God's work.

I was honored to attend Charles’ 95th birthday party. It was a wonderful affair. He gave each of us a book. I will treasure it. So many happy memories over the years.

What a special uncle..from taking us to fancy restaurants and cooking classes as a child to watching the two of them adventure all around the world, from inspiring me toward the medical field to his jolly laugh and deep voice singing hymns …I was fascinated by this man and his story and blessed to be impacted by his giving hand and open table ….through all the stages of my life.  Love you Aunt Ro and our hearts and prayers are always with you.

Dr Tandy was such a great man.  He was not just a trusted physician and colleague but a friend, mentor, counselor, and disciple. I miss his steady presence.  He was there in the good times and the challenging ones.  He was there when hard choices had to be made for Mother and Daddy.  

Dr Tandy, I know you are with Our Savior and I look forward to seeing you again in the Great Family Reunion to come.
