Pawpaw to grandchildren Brandi, her husband Jeremy, and Angi, and to Dylan Foster and his wife Kristen.
Pawpaw to great grandchildren Shelby, Abby, Kason, Kaylin, and Khloe.
Cecil loved his family and enjoyed spending his time helping them or thinking of ways to help. He held strong opinions, and he didn't mind sharing his advice.
He served in Korea as the commanding officer of an artillery battery until the war ended when he was 24 years old.
He retired from the Army as a full colonel.
He started his career as a petroleum engineer at Baroid Oil Company in Texas and retired from Liberty Mutual where he was a safety engineer. He stayed busy while working and after retirement by owning and running a car wash and the Superette on Elam Road in Dallas. He built and purchased numerous houses that were sold or rented to families in Pleasant Grove at affordable prices. He enjoyed playing the stock market from an early age and really appreciated the invention of the internet.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion "M.A." Foster and Oma McCullough Foster and his dear brother Aaron "A.D." Foster.
Cecil will be remembered and greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
