Catherine worked for The Zales Corporation and gas company in South Carolina. She was a bookkeeper for the many businesses that her and her late husband, Floyd Smith, explored in their life together. Catherine was a very generous woman who was loved and respected by her family and many friends.
Catherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Lynn Cain and husband Roy; grandchildren, Ashley Catherine and Lauren “Ryan” Cain; brother Thomas Ross of Smithfield, VA; brother Clifford Ross and wife Kathye of Batesburg-Leesville, SC and sister, Maura “Lynn” Ross of Lexington, SC and many other loving family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, September 20th at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday September 21st at Sparkman/Hillcrest Chapel. Burial services will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
