Ms. Cassie Woods Bell

Cassie Mae Woods Bell was born October 26, 1942 in Nineveh Texas to the late Henry Allen & Alton Verleana Woods. She was the oldest of four children. Cassie was raised in Midland Texas attending Carver High School.

She attended the University of North Texas and was a member of Entre Nous Les Belles. While she was there, she met her future husband.She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mose Bell on October 23, 1963 and to this union 2 children were born. They raised their family in Dallas, Texas where they both were educators with the Dallas Independent School District. They were faithful members of the Community Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev Oscar D Epps, Sr. While at Community, she served as Deaconess, Vacation Bible School Director and Choir member. She worked tirelessly in these various capacities until her health declined.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She had a kind, loving and compassionate spirit. To know her was truly to love her. She transitioned from earth to heaven on August 16, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Henry & Alton Woods, Brother: Henry Allen Woods, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Husband: Mose Bell; Children: Terri Lynn Bell, Marcus Renard Bell. Siblings: Billy and Cheryl Woods; Dannie and Velyian Woods, Grandchildren: Trey Dermaine Harmon, Marcus Renard Bell II, Jordan Christopher Bell, Eryss Simone Bell, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation for Cassie will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A celebration of life will occur Monday, August 26, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Community Missionary Baptist, 115 W Belt Line Rd, DeSoto, TX 75115. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232.
