Carlos Raymond Cervantes was born on November 4, 1939 in Dallas, Texas to Juanita and Raymundo Cervantes. Growing up in West Dallas in the 50's had many struggles. Carlos wanted to see more of the world, so he joined the Army one month after his 17th birthday. In the Army, he served as Loadmaster and Photographer. Returning to civilian life following his Army discharge in 1960, he obtained his Texas Pest Control Service license. He married the love of his life, Eva, on November 26, 1967, and they were blessed to spend 51 years together.
Their family became complete in 1971 with the birth of their son Raymond. In 1979, he started his own successful company Carlos Pest Control. The company's contracts included EDS and Argon Medical in Dallas. He also followed his passion of photography and did contract photography for the Dallas Time Herald in the 1980's. He excelled in life and everything he did. Carlos was known not only for his ability to light up a room but bring light to other people's lives with his photography (usually with his camera flash). He loved spending time with his friends, dancing, and listening to Mariachi music on Sunday mornings.
Carlos was a loving and devoted husband to Eva, a wonderful dad to Raymond and a doting grandfather to Rachel...all of whom will miss him dearly.
The Cervantes family wishes to express their loving gratitude for all the prayers and support they received in this time of grief.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14: 24
