Bobby Lee Brown

Bobby attended and graduated for N.W. Harlee and Lincoln High School. He graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He also received a master’s degrees in education and science from the University of North Texas. He was an educator with DISD serving 36 years at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School where he taught chemistry, physics, physical science and math.

Bobby was a member of Elizabeth Chapel CME Church for over 60 years. He served as an usher, served on the Steward and Trustee boards, delivered meals for the ECCME Meals On Wheels program and participated in ECCME the Seniors Ministry. His love for teaching Sunday School was clearly demonstrated every Sunday Morning.

He leaves to morn and cherish his memory the love of his life, Elizabeth Fulbright Brown, devoted daughter, Karen L. Brown and son, Michael G. Brown. Sisters-in-law, Mary Hines (Charles) and Juanita Norma (Ricky). Brothers-in-law, Edward Fulbright (Emma) and Willie Fulbright (Alma) and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His presence will truly be missed.

A visitation for Bobby will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A service of celebration will occur Monday, August 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Elizabeth Chapel CME Church, 3419 Michigan Ave, Dallas, TX 75216. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 26, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home & Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R L Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75232.
