On the afternoon of October 22, 2016, after 80 glorious years on earth, Beverly passed away peacefully. She felt blessed by God for her late husband, Robert Joseph James III, and their three daughters and sons-in-law, whom she loved unconditionally: Christine & James Grindinger (Dallas, TX), Deborah & Clifton Snellings, Jr. (Tulsa, OK) and Elizabeth & Aaron Koury (Plano, TX). God also blessed Bev and Bob with 6 adoring grandchildren: Jacqueline, Eleanor & Caroline Grindinger, Clifton III (Trey) & Mary Snellings and Stephen Koury. They were her pride and joy and will miss Grandma Bevy more than words can say. Born on May 25, 1936, in Chicago, IL, to Dr. Joseph and Rose Schiavone, Beverly now joins them in heaven along with Bob, the love of her life, who she married on May 27, 1961. Beverly leaves behind a loving sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Lawrence Ryan (Park Ridge, IL), her sisters-in-law and their husbands Barbara and Michael Clarke (Highlands Ranch, CO) and Antoinette Maloney and her late husband William Maloney (Evanston, IL) as well as 13 nieces and nephews and their families. Beverly was a product of Catholic schooling having attended grade school at Queen of All Saints in Chicago, IL, and high school at Marywood in Chicago, IL, where she was Vice President of her senior class. Beverly continued her education at Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY, and then graduated from Barat College of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, IL, where she earned a teaching degree. She taught 3rd grade until she married Bob. They moved from Chicago, IL, to Minneapolis, MN, then onto Dallas, TX, in 1969, where they joined St. Rita Parish. Beverly was an integral part of numerous church and school activities at St. Rita including being president of the Women’s Club. Beverly was an amazing daughter, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and friend! To our dearest mom and best friend, “Sleep with the Angels” and give dad lots of hugs and kisses from all of us. Our sincere gratitude to her doctors and Visiting Angels. Visitation will be held at 6pm on Friday, October 28th at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7pm.
