Beatris Eloisa Banda, 93, of Dallas, Texas passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was born August 23, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Sebastian Loera and Victoria Llamas. She married Antonio G. Banda in 1950 and the couple had nine children. She was known to everyone that crossed her path as the "Matriarch." In her spare time, Beatris enjoyed spending time with her family and tending to her beloved animals. She loved going to her grupo the oracion, listening to music, and taking a ride to Winstar.
Her family and friends will remember her as a strong, loving woman with a deep faith. She was a selfless, caring, lady who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by Antonio Banda, Hector Banda, Samantha Banda, and Juan Mosqueda. She is survived by Juan and Juana Banda, Rose Mosqueda, Carlos and Carol Banda, David and Emma Banda, Richard Banda, Martin and Diana Banda, Jesse and Rosemary Banda, and Lupe Navarro. Beatris is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 69 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Beatris will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a 6 PM Rosary at at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N. Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75247. Family and friends will meet at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 5605 Bernal Dr. on Friday, March 4, 2023 for a 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
