Arthur Ray Rhodes, Beloved husband and father went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 11, 2010. He was born on March 3, 1920 in Terrell, TX. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran having served during WWII and received the American Theater Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal. After his military service he worked in insurance sales and was devoted to his family and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Frances and also by his daughter, Kay Swain, parents, May and Edward Rhodes, siblings, Edward, Opal, Elmer, Clarence, and Robert. He is survived by his son, Ray Rhodes and wife Sherry, son, LaVelle Rhodes and wife Polly, brother, Leon Rhodes and wife Judi; son-in-law, Leroy Swain, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grand children, and many other family members who loved him. Visitation will be 6-8pm on Friday, August 13th at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Funeral Home with interment following in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Pastor Glenn Mangrum.
