Ambro Arista a lifelong resident of Dallas passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on October 8, 2012. Ambro was born on December 7, 1934, to parents Juan and Alejandra Arista. He attended elementary school at William B Travis and proudly graduated high school from Crozier Tech, Class of ’54. He made a career in the printing business for over 40 years before retiring to spend more time with his loving family. His life-long passions were traveling, bowling, tennis and golf. He loved his Mavericks, Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He also loved playing Mexican train dominoes with lifelong friends and family. Ambro participated in his community as a volunteer in Dads Club, Chamber of Commerce baseball coach, Neighborhood Watch Volunteer, usher at Saint Monica Catholic Church, and also served as an Election Committee and Precinct Chairman in his neighborhood. Ambro was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Jovita Arista, and his many friends and family. Ambro is preceded in death by his sister Gloria Flores, brother Charley Arista, and grandson Christian M. Arista. He is survived by his sons Charles and David Arista, daughter-in-laws Yvonne Arista, and Ruth Hayes-Arista, grandchildren Amy Arista, Marisa Arista and Andrew Arista, and brothers Vidal Arista and Felix Arista. Rosary and Memorial Mass is scheduled for Friday October 12, 2012, at 1:30pm, Calvary Hill Mausoleum North Chapel.
