Alan A. "Bud" Hulsey born April 2, 1925 passed away April 24, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl H. Hulsey and Sara R. Hulsey; brothers, Jon and Hugh Hulsey; and sister, Sara H. LaDue. He received his education at Texas Country Day, University of Texas and The Wharton Business School. Bud served in WWII in US Marines Flight Training and US Navy Air Corp. He was Founder and President of Hulsey Proctor Foreign Cars, The Drawing Board Incorporated, Variety Motors, Airgo Incorporated, Geodata, Hulsey Oil Company, and Rio Maverick Oil Company. He was Senior Member and Past President of Coon Creek Club and an active member of Businessmen's Flying Association. Bud is survived by his wife, Dorothy S. Hulsey; sons, Hugh Hulsey and Earl Hulsey; daughter, Ellen Hulsey Schum and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Tony Schum, Sara Schum, Jenna and Brooke Hulsey; former wife, Bettye Ebeling Hulsey; Caretaker, Melba Brown and Loyal black lab, Winnie. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 27, 2013 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church and The American Heart Association.
