He was born on November 17, 1951 to Adolph Sr. and Eulalia Gonzalez and was raised in Oak Cliff. He graduated from Adamson High School in 1970 and went on to proudly and honorably serve in the United States Marine Corps from 1971 to 1973 and attained the title of Lance Corporal.
Adolph loved playing the guitar, bullfighting and water rafting. He loved watching sports and was an extreme, die hard Dallas Cowboy fan! His hobbies included boxing, reading, listening to music, landscaping and watching movies with his family. Adolph had an overwhelming love of pets, especially for his beloved Moe!
His family and friends will always remember that Adolph was a great man; a loving, knowledgeable father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
His greatest praises though come from his son, Adrian and his daughter Felicia.
Adrian fondly remembers him as a loving father with a ready smile and a great sense of humor. “My father was cool, funny, wise, wonderful and a brave man”.
Felicia’s memory of her father is that he was humble, funny, and an understanding man who was patient, encouraging, strong and always loving. “He will ALWAYS be my hero!”
Adolph is preceded in death by his mother Eulalia Gonzalez. He is survived by his father Adolph Sr., daughter Felicia (Luis) Gonzalez-Briseno; son Adrian Gonzalez, his four grandchildren: Joshua Briseno; Aliza Gonzalez, Adrian Gonzalez Jr., and Jacob Briseno. His loving brother and sister: Yolanda Johnson and Rick (Becky) Gonzalez. His nieces Jennifer (Clint) Brister, Cindy Gonzalez and nephews Christian (Andra) Johnson and Paul Gonzalez.
