It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of Addie Mae Smith's passing. She was known to her loved ones by many names, including Mamadoll, Doll, Mommy Doll, Ms. Doll, Granny, Gran Jones, or just Momma. Addie Smith passed away on May 10, 2023, Wednesday at the age of 88. Addie lived a long and fulfilling life, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born on December 1, 1934, in Seagoville, Texas. She was God-fearing and selfless. She will be dearly missed as she was a beautiful soul, kind and loving. She had an impact on all those she encountered.
A visitation for Addie will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232. A celebration of life service will occur Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
