Shirley Jean Allen Brackett

Shirley Jean Allen Brackett from Blowing Rock, has left us to attend an awesome reunion in Heaven. She was preceded in victory into Heaven, by her husband Charles O. Brackett, sons James (Jamie) & William (Willie) Brackett, step-son Michael, grandsons William & Blaine McCorkle, her mother Pearl Pennington, father Robert Jacob Allen, sisters JoAnn, Carolyn, Sue & Mae.

She leaves behind her daughters Tina Jenkins (Steve) and Sharlene McCorkle (Billy), stepson Tony Brackett (Pat); grandchildren: Tabatha, Mary, Becky, Stephen & Brittany; great-grandchildren: Eli, Lily, Kamila, Julieta & Brayden; sisters: Brenda Stanford (Reggie) and Stella Davis (John). And, her dearest friends Dawn and Charlie Woodring of Boone.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, North Carolina 28034 with Reverend Charlie Woodring delivering words of comfort to her family and friends. Active pallbearers are Stephen McCorkle, Charlie Woodring, Steve Jenkins, Billy McCorkle, Thomas Harris and Dale Martin.

Graveside and committal service will follow at the Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 251 Olney Church Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28056.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM ~3:00 PM prior to the service.
