Charles Shelton Berry

Charles S. Berry, 75, died September 4, 2019 at UVA Novant here in his native Culpeper, Virginia. "Charlie" was a son of the late Shelton and Josephine Berry. Charlie treasured 55 years of marriage to Frances Carter Berry who survives him, along with their two children Anita and Alan. Charlie is also survived by his daughter-in-law Kim Berry and his beloved granddaughters Emily and Sarah, the treasure of their Gigi's eyes. He is also survived by his sister Margaret Seale (Roy). Charlie is preceded in death by his siblings, Hazel Berry, Robert "Buck" Berry, Claude Berry, and Betty Ann Fukushima. Charlie harnessed his hard work ethic, mechanical expertise and appreciation of helping people while operating, with his beloved wife, Berry's Gulf, Berry's Chevron and ultimately Berry's Tire and Automotive from which he retired in 2018 after decades of integrity focused service to the Culpeper community. Graveside services for Charlie will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Culpeper Humane Society, P.O.
