Wendell Wilbur Guthrie, age 78, of Baileyton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, December 18, 2020 with his family at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Sanford and Madge Waldrop Guthrie; and his grandparents: Sanford and Ella Guthrie and William and Neelie Waldrop.
Wendell is survived by his wife of 60 years: Martha Stapler Guthrie; his sons: Randy Guthrie (Margaret) and Benny Guthrie (Becky); sister, Iris Phillips (Wayne); 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces and many friends.
A graveside celebration of life will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Baileyton Cemetery. Due to the risk of COVID the service may be viewed on Moss Service Funeral Home’s Facebook Live.
