Mrs. Richter was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished her family and was very committed to them. She was a longtime member of Saint John's Evangelical Protestant Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, was a very talented seamstress and an avid reader.
Mrs. Richter was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clarence A. Richter; parents, Powell and Elva Blair; and brothers, Roy Glasscock and Jim Blair.
She is survived by daughters; Betsy (David) McLeroy, Nancy (David) Nixon and Pam (Richard) Henderson, grandchildren; Trae (Kristie) Noblett, Amy (Shannon) Bolte, Candy (Ken) Glozer, Emily (Shane) Cook, Ashley (Jason) Kent, Leslie (Rustin) Umstattd and Eric (Lindsay) Nixon, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Jan (Jim) Witte; brother, Neil (Ann) Glasscock; and sister-in-laws; Ramelle Glasscock and Betty Blair.
Visitation will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Saint John's Evangelical Protestant Church. Her celebration of life service will begin at 3 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bob Kurtz officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Cullman City Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Saint John's Evangelical Protestant Church.
