Terry Wayne joined us here on earth on the 5th of July 1958, (or as he liked us to believe on the 4th of July, 1958). As far as we know he came by the way of Bill & Mildred Campbell. Though, for quite some time his plans were to relocate to Truth and Consequences, New Mexico, to reunite with his Alien Friends. He was the 6th of 9 children in the household of 1621 E. Cruft St Indpls, IN. Being the forth son of five, along with four sisters.
Terry was very proudly a descendant of Bill and Mitt's hillbilly, Harlan County, Kentucky, ways of life...which resulted in not knowing his name wasn't Turrry Wayne until he went to school, and he proudly told them they were saying his name wrong...all his life...he was "Turry Wayne" to all who knew him well!
Most all who knew him... knows that one of his greatest traits was a natural born antagonist...though we loved him dearly...
Terry resided in Indpls until he was 21, he then joined the Navy in 1979, which he received several awards & ribbons before honorably being discharged in 1983.
Afterward, he settled in South Carolina. Where he met the love of his life, Lois Thomas. They were married in 1987, giving birth to their son , Terry Jr, on June 28th, of that same year. Only to have their lives devastated by the loss of their precious infant son on July 10th.
Sometime around 2004, or so, after Terry and Lois divorced in 2003, he migrated to Alabama to be closer to one of his sisters and family. Alabama remained his home until he went on to his eternal home on Thursday 29th of August, 2024. We are in hopes that Terry is the arms of Jesus and basking in the company of his Baby Terry.
Terry loved his family and friends with a fervent love that will never be forgotten. Especially all of his nieces and nephews, they could do no wrong. Terry had a very special connection with a handful of his nephews...which we have chosen not to mention any names... coz feelings matter...we all know who you are!
Along with Terry's infant son, Baby Terry, he was proceeded in death by his father Wm.M Campbell Sr. oldest brother Theodore "Ted" Campbell, youngest sister Madonna Kay Campbell-Conti, and lost his Mother Mildred Lee Campbell, January of this year. He is survived by his sisters; Betty May Hawkins, Debra Sue Crutchfield (Ronnie), Jackie Lynn McDonald (Len), and brothers; Donald Buford Campbell, William Murray Campbell (Paula) Johnny David Campbell. Along with many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and friends that are to immeasurable to count.
The last several years Terry had an extra special relationship with his dear friends Evan and Seleah Brock and their twin sons, that Terry adored. Evan and Seleah wholeheartedly loved and accepted Terry into their family as one of their own, whom became to be a second dad to Evan. Evan and Seleah we thank you for loving our Terry Wayne!
And it goes without mentioning the special connections he had with Jer Jer Schultz. And we cant leave out Nate Jimmerson, his boss (from time to time) and friend that could hold his own against Terrys ornery ways maybe because they could be considered 2 peas in a pod! Nate may slap me for that one, ha ha, I jus kiddin. what?!?!
In the last few years Terry had convinced those closest to him that he would most likely live 70 plus more years, as punishment's for all the wrongs he had done to others... We believed him so this all has become quite a shock. So to give tribute to Terry.....
Saturday September 7th. His nephew , Ronnie, along with the younger generations of the family and friends have made plans to make tribute to Terry with a bonfire, and music in his honor at 11:11pm , bring a tent, food if your hungry, come when you want, leave when you want...92 Markeeta Rd. Leeds, AL.
And on the Saturday, 21st of September, around 5 pm, his Indiana family and any friends who would like to attend will follow through with Terry's wishes , and spread some of his ashes, just as the sun is setting, onto Ronnie and Debbie's garden at 62/92 Markeeta Rd. Leeds AL.
Love All Around, Peace Out, Out of Here..
