OD will forever be remembered as a genuine man who was always willing to help others.   He also kept a lot of cars on the road for a long time!  Our sincere condolences to the Haynes family during this difficult time.

O.D. Was my mechanic in my early days of driving. Loved him dearly and love his family!!

O.D. was always so sweet and kind when I saw him as was his wife Shelby.  Used to stay most Saturday nights with his parents, they were so special to me.  Good family....

Will miss our roadside chats. Where we solved the worlds troubles. Rest In Peace O.D.

Camping 2005?. Drove through a horrible rain storm in Chattanooga. O D and Shelba's R V kept stopping and the whole caravan from Cullman County pulled off the interstate so many times the Chattanooga Police got involved.  Escorted by Lance and Kathy, O D stopped at a Ford? place and worked on his OWN RV.

I think Shelba managed to not lose any shoes, but O D may have taken a tumble on his bike that trip!


Sharing camping trips with O D was a blessing. O D dove into the waves on a Panama City beach on a cold March day. Danny C followed, and I think Terry finally joined them after spending several shivering minutes in shallow water, is a favorite memory. I may share a few more.
